Hello, I’m Nurse Henry.

I’m a licensed vocational nurse working in home health. Health with H brings together my love of patient teaching, thoughtful words, and the small moments that make caring personal.

Here you’ll find easy-to-follow health education alongside original reflections for patients, families, and caregivers.

PRACTICAL HEALTH EDUCATION

Your nurse is coming.
Have these five things ready.

A little preparation helps you make the most of your next home-health visit.

01 · Gather your medications

Have your medication list and bottles ready, including prescription medicines, over-the-counter products, vitamins, and supplements.

02 · Bring your health records

Keep your blood pressure, blood sugar, or weight logs nearby if your care team has asked you to track them.

03 · Write down what changed

Make a short list of new symptoms, recent falls, medication changes, and hospital or emergency-room visits to discuss with your nurse.

04 · Prepare your space

Choose a comfortable, well-lit area. Clear the walkway and secure pets before your nurse arrives.

05 · Have your questions ready

Write down your questions. Ask your nurse to explain or demonstrate instructions, then practice together so you feel more confident.

Save this checklist for your next visit or share this page with a caregiver.

HEART OF HEALTH WITH H

Words for the person behind the care.

Original quotes and short poems for moments when you need encouragement, connection, or a quiet pause.

More Than a Chart

“Behind every chart is a person who deserves to be heard.”

For the Caregiver

“You deserve a place on the list of people you care for.”

Ask Again

“Your questions belong in the room. Ask until the explanation makes sense to you.”

Your Own Pace

“Your worth does not depend on how quickly you recover.”

A moment of care.

The Chair Beside You

I pull a chair beside your own,
so you need not face this hour alone.
No perfect words, no grand display—
just time to hear what you need to say.

Small Steps

Some days the distance feels too wide;
let someone walk here by your side.
A smaller step still has its place;
you do not have to win a race.

To the Caregiver

You know the cup, the chair, the light,
the little things that make things right.
May someone notice all you do,
and save a little care for you.
